we were camping in a tent looking for somewhere to picth tried the grey mares tail, ground was thick with ice could not get a tent peg in ,so we looked myself and brother for somewhere to put our tent up for the night ,it was in jan and was dark ,we went down towords the loch but it says on the notice no overnight camping ,so we were drawn towards the hotel grounds ,upon entering the gate a lady came out to ask what we wanted ,on this my brother explained we needed somewhere to stop and pitch our tent for the night ,she said no problem you must be mad in this weather and did not expect to stay,we were still there the following morning ,and were cheeky and stayed another night .the couple that own the hotel were very nice and extremely helpful.after this visit i feel anyone around this area on holiday or living should pop in and see what you are missing, truly one of scotlands best kept secrets.they both deserve to do well and i and family will most definetly be back to visit again hats off to you both and once again thank you very much for the warm welcome you gave myself and my brother p.s. well be back and again thank you.
